Meet Dariusz eduHero from Poland

I come from Radom, Poland, the city 100km from Warsaw, the capital. I’m a history and ICT teacher at Public Primary School no. 34 in Radom. I’m trying to be an innovative teacher, who keeps developing his working methods and looking for new ideas for his students. I try to make my school a place to teach critical thinking and independence. Since 2017 I have been working with Skype on my lessons. It allows my students to see their learning from a different perspective and, in a way, join the generations teacher – student. Apart from history and ICT teaching I contribute my school using my skills as a graphic designer and photographer. I’m also a MIEE. Now, together with my students, I’m gaining experience in international projects, one of which is #DiY4Earth

Public Primary School no. 34 is located in the centre of Radom, Poland. It came into being in 1963. Now there work 86 teachers and 942 students aged 6-14.
There are 35 classrooms, 3 computer rooms, 2 gyms, a common room, a library, a canteen, a tuck shop and a playground. Apart from teachers there are also a psychologist, a pedagogue, a speech therapist and a nurse.
The teachers willingly engage in various projects and extra activities to make their students learn more than what is only on a regular curriculum. These are  among others: European cooperation in Erasmus+ staff mobility project, Microsoft Educator Community cooperation, eTwinning online projects in cooperation with European schools, Katalyst Engineering – combining engineering, 3D printing technology and science.
For years we have had high results in external exams due to our commitment and the fact that we work with enthusiasm and are not afraid of challenges. We are open, student-centered and happy to learn.
